OfCom Say Radio Rules Broken By Gaunt

Coventry born radio presenter John Gaunt did break radio rules, watchdog Ofcom has found when he called Councillor Michael Stark a "Nazi" on a Talk Sport radio show last November.

Gaunt, who was in care himself as a child, was discussing Redbridge Council's plans to ban smokers from being foster parents when he made the comments.

He was told by his producers at the time to tone down his comments and was later sacked by the radio station.

Ofcom received 53 complaints about the interview.

Mr Gaunt is now working for a radio station set up by the Sun Newspaper and gives talks including one back in March at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry.
