Nuneaton Hit Four And Brakes Hit Five

Nuneaton Town moved up to seventh in the Conference North table this afternoon with a 4-0 victory over Eastwood Town.

Former Coventry City youngster Adam Walker opened the scoring for Kevin Wilkin's side before Armson hit a second in the 28th minute.

In the second half, Pugh made in 3-0 in the 48th minute with Armson scoring his second of the game in the 63rd minute.

In the FA Cup, Leamington beat Boldmere St Michaels from the Midland Alliance 5-0. Batchelor scored first in the 23rd minute with Blyth adding a second in the 63rd. Boldmere battled away but were hit by a brace from David Kolodynski and one from Adkins all coming in the last seven minutes of the match.

Bedworth United lost 1-0 at Rushall Olympic. Brown scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute with a penalty.

Stratford Town put in a superb performance to get a 5-5 draw at Evostik League side Newcastle Town with a hat-trick for Mykel Beckley and goals for former Sky Blue Ben Mackey and Stuart Herlihy. Anthony Malbon scored all five goals for Newcastle who travel to Stratford for the replay on Tuesday night.

In the Midland Alliance, Coventry Sphinx lost 4-0 at Kirby Muxloe whilst Atherstone beat league leaders Westfields 3-1 with goals from Rolph, Weale and Gayle.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood beat Castle Vale JKS 2-1, Southam United won 3-1 at Brocton, Nuneaton Griff drew 1-1 at Cadbury Athletic and Racing Club Warwick beat Pilkington 2-1.

In Division One, Alvis lost 1-0 at Phoenix United whilst in Division Two, Coventry Sphinx based Young Warriors lost 2-1 at home to Barton United, Leamington Hibernian lost 3-1 at home to Clements 83 and FC Stratford drew 1-1 with Henley Forest.

In the Les James Challenge Cup, Coventry Spartans lost 5-0 at home to Shirley Town.
