Nuneaton Town Assistant Manager Micky Moore has said that he is hoping for a competitive game against Coventry City tomorrow.

Nuneaton are hoping for a bumper gate from the Sky Blues annual visit and Moore who is well experienced in non-league circles told Matt Davies of Nuneaton News:  “Obviously Coventry are a strong, professional side. In years gone by this has been a competitive game and I would hope that will be the case again this season.

“The key things you want to take out of a game like this are fitness, organisation and no injuries. We’ve already had one very serious one in Noony (Mark Noon) and a few other bumps and bruises.

“So far we’ve had five games in 12 or 13 days.

“Those games were about making sure players got the minutes they need.

“We’ve got four games left and we are at the stage where you would expect players to start stepping up.

“We need to get them sharper and we’ll be working on the detailed stuff.”
