John Ledwidge, Head Groundsman at Coventry City FC in two spells has left the employment of the club.

With Coventry City out of the Ricoh Arena, Mr Ledwidge will move to the employment of Arena Coventry Limited and will continue to look after the pitch which did not see a Coventry City first team game played on it, postponed since those with vested interests moved the club into the stadium back in August 2005.

Mr Ledwidge said via Facebook: "Thank you to Coventry City for all their support. "I want to make it clear i dont wish to become embesled in the ongoing dispute and this decision was taken for what i felt was right for my area of expertise and maintaining the asset that is the pitch for ACL. "I have worked with some fantastic people and am now also working for some fantastic people. Thank you all for your support.
