Nottinghamshire Ref For Derby V City

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship game at Derby County is Russell Booth from Nottinghamshire.

A cricket fan who enjoys gardening, Mr Booth took up refereeing in 1984 in Mansfield and progressed to the National List of Assistant Referees in 1998. He was appointed to the National List of referees in 2004.

This will be Mr Booth's 26 game of the season. and his 11th Championship match including the City's 1-1 home draw with Ipswich when he sent off Marlon King.  He has shown 53 yellow cards and four red.

Previous City games are the 1-0 win at Peterborough and the 2-1 home win over Ipswich last season as well as the home defeat to Watford in April 2009 and the 3-2 defeat at Preston in February 2005.

The assistants are Marvyn Amplett from Worcesteshire and Oliver Yates from Staffordshire and the Fourth Official is Chris Akers from South Yorkshire.
