Not Whilst I'm Chairman

Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson has said that Michael Mifsud will never play for Coventry City again whilst he is Chairman.

Mifsud joined Barnsley on loan yesterday after being told in no uncertain terms to "go away" by City, annoyed that they were not going to get a £300,000 fee after the Maltese international allegedly demanded £20k a week in wages.

"I'm glad it's all behind us for his sake and for our sake," said Mr Ranson to BBC Sport. "He's gone until the end of the season so I think it's safe to say he'll never play for Coventry while I'm Chairman."

"I've spent more time talking about Michael Mifsud since I've been Chairman than any other player."
