Not Paying The Rent Put City Into Administration

The High Court in Birmingham heard today that it was not the £14m loan from Coventry City Council to Arena Coventry Limited which put Coventry City Football Club (Holdings) Ltd into administration, it was the decision to stop paying the rent.

On the second day of the Judicial Review, according to Keith Perry and Simon Gilbert of the Coventry Telegraph, Coventry City Council's QC said: " the council loan to ACL didn't put club in admin, the decision to stop paying the Ricoh rent, when Ms Seppala stepped in, did."
