Not Another Bid

According to the CET,Birmingham City have tabled a fourth bid for Gary McSheffrey. However, Micky Adams said: "He's a Coventry City player and will be performing for us on Sunday unless Birmingham agree a fee that the football club deem reasonable. "There has been more contact, but whether there has been a firm bid or not I'm not sure.

"There is always a value on every player,so you should never say never. We have been a selling club ever since we were relegated but keeping Gary would be a fantastic signal. "What sort of signal would it be if we did sell him?. We have sold season tickets and shirts on the back of Gary.

"It would be easy to take the money and really improve the squad, competing with fees for new players. "But we can't replace him - I wouldn't know where to start. So he is not going anywhere unless there is a fee acceptable to the board."
