Coventry City latest loanee Oliver Norwood has said that he is grateful for the chance to play Championship football.

Norwood played for Scunthorpe United earlier in the season and speaking to Sky Blue Player, the player who has joined from Manchester United for the rest of the season, said:  “It was a good experience to play in League One because it is completely different to the Premier League and the reserves.

"The Championship is different again so hopefully I can adapt to this level and help us climb up the table.

"It's a massive club and I am grateful for the opportunity to play here.

"Hopefully I can force my way into the team and stay there until the end of the season.

"I know Sammy (Clingan) from playing international football with him so he showed me around and all the lads have been great, very welcoming,

"I just want to come and play as many games as possible.

"I like to get on the ball, I like to play football, score goals and get about the pitch.

"I am an all round midfield player who likes to make some tackles as well.

"You've got to be willing to put the tackles in at this level, it's not all about playing your football you have to stop others playing their game too."
