No Swanson For Saturday

Coventry City will be without Danny Swanson for the Sky Blues opening League One game of the season against Wigan Athletic.

Swanson picked up a groin strain during the first half of City's 0-0 draw with Oxford United at Nuneaton on Saturday.

It was a game that Jim O'Brien missed out on due to a tight hamstring but he should be ok for Saturday along with Chris Stokes who received a kick on his ankle and was forced off.

City boss Tony Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "Everyone is OK apart from Danny Swanson ho is the only one who is not going to be available for Saturday.

“Chris Stokes took a kick on his ankle which he has shrugged off and Jim O'Brien trained on Monday and Tuesday, so he’s OK. He had a bit of soreness or stiffness in a hamstring but he’s fine now.”
