No Shoot-Outs Thank You

The Football League are considering with bringing in shoot-outs to decide matches which end in draws.

The notion comes from a Football Think Tank set up by the League at the request of the 72 Football League club Chairmen. The aim is add to more entertainment and attract more supporters to the game but like many others we see this as messing about with an area of the game that is perfectly satisfactory.

Covsupport feels that the current sytem of one point for a draw which was brought in when the League was founded in 1888 is fine as it is and also feel that the Football League would be better served making match prices affordable to all and giving supporters the choice to sit or stand at all Football League matches.

If you would like to complain to the Football League about this, send an email to fl@football-league.co.uk

Iain Dowie told the CT:"It's absolute madness. "It's a great game and a game I love and something I can't envisage my life without and I don't think it needs changing too much.

"Draws can be great games and sometimes a drawn game can be like a win at times. "I understand it is an entertainment sport, that's fundamental in the game, but it doesn't work for me."
