No Reserve Team Isn't Hurting Player Development - Coleman

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that he does not think that not having a reserve team affects the development of the club's younger players.

City's Reserve team was scrapped when Ray Ranson and SISU took over the club, as an initial cost cutting measure and since then, the reserves managed by Frankie Bunn only play friendlies.

"We play quite a few friendlies and Adam got plenty of games out on loan at Nuneaton where he did really well, and Ashley went out on loan to Luton and Oxford so they have had their games," said Coleman to the CT, speaking about the release of Adam Walker, Curtis Wynter and Ashley Cain.

"In actual fact the reserve leagues have suffered a lot this year with the weather so there is a big backlog still to be played."
