No Pre-Season For Stern

Stern John could be the third City player unavailable for City's pre-season games. With Stuart Giddings and more than likely Jonny Tuffey on international duty in the UEFA U19 European Championship in Northern Ireland, John has been called up for Trinidad & Tobago squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

This Central & North American version of the European Championships will be held in America from July 6th -24th. Based in Miami, Leo Beenhaker's side will play Honduras on July 6th, then face Panama whom they beat 2-0 on Saturday before finishing their group with a match against Colombia who lost to England seven days ago on Monday July 11th.

Should Trinidad who are ranked 62nd in FIFA's rankings qualify, the Quarter-Final will take place on July 16/17th depending on their positioning. Further progression will take them to New York for the Semi-Finals on July 21,st the same day City are at Galway United with the Final at the Giants Stadium in New York on July 24th.
