No Point In Rushing Maddison - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that there is no point in rushing James Maddison back.

Maddison came on for the last twenty minutes of Saturday's game with Oldham Athletic and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, the City boss said: “James is a high-quality footballer – we all know that and he proved it out there.

“But it’s no good rushing a young boy who’s been out for four months or so. We’ll feed him back into the team bit by bit over the next two or three weeks – get him back to speed.

“Somewhere down the line he’ll be off and running and playing 90 minutes and then it’s down to him to make sure he gets into the team and stays there.”
