No Penalty Decision Was Right - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that the decision to over-turn a penalty for the Sky Blues during the game against Chesterfield was the correct decision.

Frank Nouble was brought down by Sam Hird and initially referee Darren Handley awarded a penalty. But after consulting with his assistant on the main stand side, a free kick outside the area was awarded.

Pressley, who watched the game from the stand, told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: "I had a look from the stands and I enjoyed the chance to see things slightly differently and it meant that I could see the penalty was rightly overturned. I’ve seen the incident again on video and it was right on the edge of the box but fair play to the linesman he made the right call.

“It’s disappointing but if we continue to play with that energy and endeavour things will turn for us and we’ll start to get decisions.”
