No Number Two Role For Murphy

Coventry City are only looking at Scunthorpe United keeper Joe Murphy as a replacement for Keiren Westwood not as a number two it has emerged.

City have had no bids and don't want any for the Westwood who made his Republic Of Ireland debut against Nigeria a fortnight ago and would only look at signing Murphy who is also a Republic Of Ireland international if Westwood were to go.

Steve Ogrizovic has watched the keeper, who according to reports coming out of Scunthorpe this morning is likely to stay at Glanford Park, on a number of occasions and his current wages would fit into City's pay structure.
