There have been no new talks between Coventry City and Rugby Borough Council about a new stadium, according to the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert.
A Mr Stokes from the Rugby Borough Council said: “There’s nothing of a stadium nature in the local plan. We have had no more contact with them since the meeting. There has been no talks, correspondence or anything.”
He added: “The plan is in public consultation and we would still consider any legitimate proposal. But we would hope that a major club like Coventry City FC would have come to us in advance of this.
“But if they came to us now, and had a serious conversation, we could maybe factor something in.”
