The City manager told the CET: "We've got no money available. So unless they want to play for nothing - which I haven't seen too many footballers do these days - they won't be joining us.
"I would ideally have liked to added another couple of faces before the transfer deadline but it doesn't look as if we've got the finances to do that.
"We've got a small squad but there's no money there to improve it so we go with what we've got."
