No New Faces To Meet The Baggies

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman looks to have failed in his attempts to bring in some new faces before the home game against Championship leaders West Brom tomorrow.

Speaking to the CT, Coleman who looks now to be without Leon Best for the game said: "I spoke with the chairman and one or two agents this week and I think it is unlikely that we will have anyone in for the weekend, unfortunately, and we need some reinforcements especially now that we have lost Clingan, Best and Gunnarsson who are three very important players.

"In a squad of our size that's going to leave a mark so it is something we need to address and we are, but I don't think we will have anyone in for tomorrow.

"We have got to be careful and if we bring someone in they have got to be able to do a job at our level.

"We have got Chris Hussey and Gary Madine in but these players are not here to make us better now, and that would be unfair on them because they are very much in our thinking for the future.

"They are the same ages as Jordan Clarke and Jermaine Grandison and that's what we are looking at, to add to that, while running parallel with our long term goals we have our immediate problems and the fact that we need to strengthen with a little bit more experience and we are continuing to look for that."
