Iain Dowie has not got the backing of the League Managers Association following the verdict by Justic Tugendhat in the High Court case against Simon Jordan.

John Barnwell of the Warwickshire based association which represents managers of all 92 clubs said: "Every year we experience great difficulty in getting some clubs to settle their financial obligations to managers following their decision to sack them. It would, therefore be totally unacceptable to support a manager who sought to walk away from his contractual obligations with his employer."

The now City boss will find out how much he will have to pay in compensaton on Friday.
