No Haroun For City

Coventry City have confirmed that they will not be persuing their interest in Faris Haroun.

The former Middlesbrough player played for City U21's and gave away a penalty in the defeat to Barnsley yesterday.

Speaking about Haroun, who has played for Middlesbrough and Blackpool as well as clubs in Belgium, Steven Pressley said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “We’re not pursuing our triallist. I spoke to him after the game and I felt he was similar to the type of players that we have and I felt, on that showing, it wasn’t right to bring him in.

“He trained for quite a number of days with us and then assessed him in the game. He’s got a good pedigree but I felt he wasn’t better than the players we have got.”
