Steven Pressley's attempt to bring in former Rangers and Blackpool defender Kirk Broadfoot on loan from Rotherham United have failed.

The clubs could not agree terms and the deal has fallen with Rotherham boss Steve Evans being quoted as saying by the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Coventry City certainly had a chat with us but we couldn’t get it over the line. It fell down for different reasons and he’s still a Rotherham United player.

“We’ve always said that when players aren’t in the first team or when another club expresses an interest we either say go away with that offer or we have a conversation with the player about their future. Kirk has reiterated his desire to get into the team here and that is good enough for us.”
