No Expectations On Jones - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that there are no expectations on Jodi Jones, who is on trial with the Sky Blues with a view to a permanent deal.

The Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder scored twice on his City U21's debut on Monday at Bristol City and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: "He's probably a bit more direct than James Maddison, a bit more travelling with the ball.

"But he’s an exciting player who can play lovely passes, go past people and shoot. But I don’t want to put pressure on him by building him up too soon.

"Let’s put it into perspective. He's a young boy; very, very talented but one for the future really.

"He's predominantly left-footed but very versatile – can play on the left delivering, on the right coming inside, or No.10, shooting and scoring. But there are no expectations on him other than to come in and be an asset to this football club."
