Coventry City Chairman Ken Dulieu has said that there will be a replacement for Paul Clouting.

The CEO, left recently with no formal explanation as to his departure, but speaking to the CT, Ken Dulieu has said that a new managing director will be appointed.

He said: "The various heads of department are all directly reporting into me as chairman. I do not see an immediate need to appoint a direct replacement. We have an excellent team on site and they are working very hard.

I am currently reviewing our internal structures but do believe that in the longer term it will be of benefit to bolster our executive team on site.

So yes I do think we shall appoint somebody to act as a managing director based in Coventry, but at this stage there are certainly no names in the frame."

As for the Commercial Department, Mr Dulieu said: "Temporarily the current team, who have been working very hard despite the wider economic picture, is reporting directly to me.

But our commercial operations are a vital area and we will be looking to appoint a new commercial director in due course.

We will be looking for somebody who can help both devise and deliver upon a strategy for improving our links with local businesses and wider commercial partners."
