No deal for Cazarine

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has opted not to offer Bruno Cazarine a contract with the Sky Blues.

The journeyman Brazilian striker had shown some potential and was given an extra chance to impress Thorn, but ultimately he failed to impress enough. Cazarine has played in eight different countries since 2002 and for over ten different clubs.

Cazarine started the game at Accrington, which City went on to win by 4-1, on Saturday but was pulled off at half time and replaced by on loan striker Callum Ball.

When Thorn revealed he wouldn't be offering Cazarine a job, he did admit that he has further options to strengthen his attacking line up  and has another player coming in today for a trial.

Thorn told the CT's Alan Poole: “We’ve had a good look at Bruno and he did some great things in training, but it didn’t really work out in the matches he played and we’ve got to be convinced before we start handing out contracts.

“I’ve got another boy coming in on Monday who looks promising so we’ll see where that takes us.”
