Coventry City will not be splashing out on big wages for players now and in January.

The loan transfer window closes on Thursday and although City boss Chris Coleman is keen to bring in some new faces, he will not be allowed to break the club's current wage structure.

''I saw that Wayne Routledge went on loan to Cardiff but with the type of wages they are talking about, we don't want to be paying that because it would mean going round in a circle,'' said Coleman to the CT.

''That's why the club got in trouble before,so the players we bring in will have to fit in with our wage structure and we don't want to break that.
''The budget is slightly less than last year but we are looking to bring in new players but we have to stick to the plan.

''We are looking at every department and have lists of players in this country and abroad and I hope that December will be fruitful for us.''
