Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker could be out for up to five weeks out after pulling his hamstring during the 1-1 draw with Birmingham City on Saturday.

Speaking to the CT’s  Andy Turner, City boss Andy Thorn said: “We won’t know for certain until it settles down a bit later in the week but it doesn’t look too clever.

“But if it is as bad as we think then it is a massive blow. He’s pulled a hamstring and he could be out for four to five weeks.

“He showed on Saturday that he has bounced back to form.

"He set up the goal and if he’d stayed on I think we would have gone on to win the game because he was really getting on top of their full-back Jonathan Spector.”

Meanwhile, Carl Baker said: “It was really painful on Saturday when I was hoping I had just over-stretched it. I sat in an ice bath for ten minutes but it didn’t do anything apart from give me sore toes.

“When I went off injured on Saturday I got a good reception which was nice after what happened.
