The Micky Gynn Testimonial saw a figure close to £90,000 raised.
The match attended by an excellent crowd of 9,435 as well as a party hosted by the Sky Blue Trust and other events boosted the funds for a member of the 1987 FA Cup winning side.
Said the popular midfielder, "I am absolutely stunned. "I never really had a figure in mind when I organised the event but it is certainly a lot more than I ever dreamed of.
"I can only thank everyone who turned up on the night and who gave their services for free to cut down on the costs. But the money is immaterial really and it wouldn't have mattered what I got. I am still flying high on the success of the night which was such a special occasion for me and my family. We have just been overwhelmed by it all."
