Coventry City Ladies Manager Craig Nicholls was delighted with his side's 4-0 win at Blackburn Rovers.

Speaking to Matty Roper, Nicholls said: "We were excellent today and it really was a complete performance. Tremendous energy and desire was on display from the group and we fully deserved our victory.

"We knew Blackburn would be a tough side to play but we've out battled and outplayed them for the entirety of the match. Once again it's credit to the girls as they continued to be energetic throughout and knocked the ball around well on a bobbly surface. We've stuck to our principles and got a result, the clean sheet is also vital at this stage of the season."

Scorer of two goals, Dani Selmes, also looked back on the game and said: "It was a must win game for us today, we knew as the game went on and the more we created that one of those opportunities would go in. We all had to win our individual battles and then also work together as a team at times to put Blackburn under pressure! I think we controlled a lot of the game but had to be wary of Blackburn on the counter attack."

"I am very pleased personally with getting on the score sheet twice and helping the team to claw back the goal difference on Sheffield. On to next week!"
