The seventeen year-old, now in his tenth year at the club, came through City's U16's last season and has been part of the U18's and U23's teams in matches this season.

He was also on the bench for City's Checkatrade Trophy tie against Arsenal U21's and Forest Green Rovers.

Ngandu has put pen to paper on a two year and a half professional deal which will take him up to June 2021 and speaking about him, City U23's coach Jason Farndon told the club website: “We are delighted that Jonny has signed with the club and have been able to keep hold of an exciting talent.

“He is a local lad that has been with us since he was seven and he has consistently played above his age group throughout his time in the Academy.

“Jonny has been based with us full time at the Lodge and we look forward to continuing to work with him and helping his development.”
