Newport Draw Means City Stay Sixth

Coventry City remain sixth in the League Two table after two matches were played tonight in the division.

City could have dropped to seventh if Newport County had beaten Morecambe.

However, Michael Rose scored a 77th minute penalty for Morecambe to earn a 1-1 draw after Ben Tozer had netted for the South Wales team.

Second placed Notts County were beaten 2-1 at home by Crawley Town.

Former City loanee Jon Stead scored with a 58th minute penalty after Smith had put Crawley ahead.

County who had two players sent off and conceded a Payne goal all in second half stoppage time to lose the game.
