Newcastle United want former Coventry City youngster Danny Sturridge on loan for the season.
Sturridge who is currently on international duty with Stuart Pearce's England U21's, is hoping that his goals whilst on loan at Bolton might help him gain a squad place with the to be appointed Chelsea boss.
Newcastle have yet to allocate their legendary number nine shirt and according to media reports, Alan Pardew is hoping that he can land Sturridge on a season long loan to fill that shirt.
