New Post For City Director

Coventry City Director Sir Derek Higgs has been appointed as chairman of Alliance & Leicester PLC. The 61 year old who combines his work with CCFC whilst being the chairman of Partnerships UK PLC and Bramdeam Assett Management LLP,starts his new role on October 28.

Higgs had been seen as possible CCFC chairman material but this new appointment rules out the prospect,leaving Joe Elliott and Geoffrey Robinson MP as candidates,should Mike McGinnity decide not to continue as chairman when he returns from a break taken on medical advice.
