Former Coventry City loanee keeper/ assistant manager and City supporter Tim Flowers has been appointed the new head coach of Kidderminster Harriers.

Flowers takes over from Gary Whild, who becomes Head Of Football Operations, and Flowers will be responsible for training throughout the week and team selection and management.

Reflecting on today’s changes, Chairman, Rod Brown, commented: “We’ve worked incredibly hard this week to find the best way to get the most out of what we have here, and how we can best allow those who are here to do their job to the best of their ability.

“For me, Gary retaining a substantial interest in team affairs was of absolute paramount importance.

“You only have to spend a short time with him to learn about his knowledge of the game and it was crucial this wasn’t lost – but I think the change to his role will also energise and excite him.

“Tim has an unquestionable reputation within the game and his experience is second to none, and I know all of the players respect that and enjoy learning from him.

“This is a great opportunity for Tim and a chance for us to see how things unfold.”
