Graham Hover will step back into football on September 1st at Gillingham FC. The former Coventry City company secretary who was suspended by the club in June, was appointed CEO in 2001 following the coup to oust then Chairman Bryan Richardson. A legal wrangle ensured before the club announced last month that he had left the club.

Talking about the appointment Gillingham Chairman and Millwall supporter Paul Scally stated on the official Gillingham website: "We had talks and I am delighted to make this appointment today. It's a massive signing for the football club as it allows us to move forward and gives us more strength.

"Graham has a wealth of football knowledge and is very experienced in the type of business we are operating. "I have been looking to bring someone in to take some of the load off of me for a long time. Graham will help run the day-to-day business of the Club, and take it onwards and upwards."
Graham Hover was quoted as saying: "Paul approached me and I saw it as a great opportunity, a new challenge for myself. "I know a lot about the club, as I was born in the county. Kent is a huge catchment area and if Paul can get on and get the new stadium built, then this club can move forward.

"It is a very important role that I have undertaken. Off the field activities are very important to any football club as you cannot solely rely on what happens on the pitch, and the supporters coming through the turnstiles."
