Work is progressing on the new indoor pitch at the Alan Higgs Centre, CNS Sport can reveal.
Coventry City Council gave permission for a new indoor pitch and a swimming pool to replace the one in Fairfax Street after Wasps ended their interest in having the centre on Allard Way as their training base.
Access to an indoor pitch is part of Coventry City Academy's Category 2 status and will also benefit Sky Blues In The Community and SoccerRockz amongst other users of the facility built on the old MSA ground.
It had been hoped that the facility would be ready for September 2018 but work is progressing as our picture shows.
