A long standing City supporter and season ticket holder, Mr Parton is the former CEO of global communications company Marconi Networks Division and was the man behind the Telent sponsorship of the main stand at the Ricoh Arena. He stepped down on October 31st 2006 after five years in the role.

Mr Parton was recently voted on to join a board which has Ray Ranson as Chairman, Gary Hoffman as Vice Chairman and Joe Elliott as a director.
