New Deal Available For John Fleck

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that there is a deal on the table if John Fleck wants to remain at the Sky Blues.

Fleck is out of contract on June 30th but Mowbray would love to keep him and he told the Coventry Telegraph that there is something on the table if the Scot wants it:  “There are lots of things in the equation. Sometimes people don’t want to uproot their family, don’t want to sell a house to buy another one and settle somewhere else. Sometimes it has to be worth their while to do that.

“I don’t see him as a lad who has had any agenda in the background. Everything is above board and our conversations are very honest. It’s not as if he’s sneaking away and we should all respect the fact that he’s honoured his contract, worked really hard and let’s see what his options are.

“He’s worked his socks off, been a very consistent performer and we have to respect that. He’s not trying to nick out of a contract or holding us to ransom, he’s just exploring what’s out there which I think is right for him and his family.
