New Contract For Dele?

Coventry City striker Dele Adebola could be offered a new contract at the Sky Blues. The former Nigerian international, had been attracting the interest of Scunthorpe United but with Dele now a permanent part of the Iain Dowie's plans, any move away from Coventry looks unlikely.

Said Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins to the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "I had Adebola when he was a youngster at Crewe on loan with me when I was manager at Bangor. "I also know (Coventry owner) Ray Ranson quite well.

"Adebola would have been a great signing for us. He wasn't in the team at Coventry and we had just about agreed a transfer fee and terms. "But then Coventry got some injuries, Adebola got into the team and has started scoring some goals. "His situation there has now changed and they are talking about a new contract for him."

Adebola is one of a host of players who are out of contract at the end of the season.
