Peter Ndlovo is currently in South Africa playing for Sundown Warriors. The move that took the Zimbabwean who was signed by Bobby Gould for the Sky Blues,to his latest club had not gone down well in certain areas of the South African press.

One allegation aimed at the winger who was sold to Birmingham City and later joined Sheffield United, was that his legs could no longer carry him for ninety minutes and that he was not worth a reported 100,000 rand a month contract.

Ndlovu refuted this and came on as a sub for Warriors with ten miutes to go of a game last Thursday to score one and set up another. He then went on television to state that," he was at Sundowns to do the job as demanded by the coach and on that day he had done it in 10 minutes but he could do the same in five minutes, 20 minutes, 45 minutes or even 90 minutes depending on how the coach wants to use him."

Speaking to a South African football magazine,Full Time the 33 year old commented: "You have read and learnt a lot about me. But let me tell you that I am a very down-to-earth person. Back home I call my supporters my brothers and sisters, they are like my family. I've gone through a lot in my career. Some of the stuff you have read is true, some is false. But I try to never let it affect my family or my work. I am always focused when I am doing my job on the field.

"My wife has always been there for me during hard times. Being in the limelight, everything I do is blown out of proportion and that can be tough sometimes, not just for me but for my whole family. Every top player has to deal with that. I just hope that when people judge me, they judge me on what I have done on the field. I hope that's what I will be remembered for."
