Former Coventry City loanee Jacob Murphy is expected to sign for Newcastle United later today for around £12m.
Murphy, has been in Germany with Norwich City but having ageed personal terms, flew last night with his agent Jamie Moralee, to Dublin from Dusseldorf for a medical.
Newcastle, who have a training camp in Ireland, are being reported as waiting for the results of the medial which took place at a Dublin hospital and are expecting the deal to be completed later today.
Murphy scored nine goals in forty appearances for City and played for England U21's in the recent European Championships in Poland.
Meanwhile, another former City loanee in Andre Wright is on trial with Swindon Town.
Wright, who scored twice for City in eleven appearances, had been released by West Bromwhich Albion.
