Jacob Murphy's hat-trick for Coventry City against Gillingham in the 4-1 win, was the fastest scored by a City player since World War Two.

Murphy's hat-trick came in under ten minutes and is the quickest since Billy Lake scored a 10 minute hat-trick in 1938.

Clarrie Bourton scored seven hat-tricks in 1931-1932 and may have scored a faster one.

It was the first hat-trick at the Ricoh Arena for six years when Freddy Eastwood netted three times against Peterborough United.
