Coventry City keeper Joe Murphy is feeling confident that this season will be a good one for the Sky Blues.

Murphy, who has shown some good form in pre-season with a man of the match performance against Heracles Amelo, told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: "Obviously we’re short of numbers and a bit of experience here and there but the gaffer has tried to bed in his philosophy on the whole club, not just the first team.

"The young lads have come in and done great and we did well against two top sides in Holland, and that’s including the young boys coming in as well, so if they know their role and do their jobs right then we look pretty solid.

"Our shape looks good and we’re pressing the ball and playing some good stuff. I still think we need some bodies but if it doesn’t happen we’re going to have to go as we are. But I’m quite confident we’ve got the players to do well in this league.”
