Murphy Can Bring Pace And Individuality - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that Jacob Murphy can bring pace and indivduality to the Sky Blues side.

“We said we wanted pace and individuality and Jacob Murphy can bring that,” said Mowbray to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner; “that’s why he’s here.

“We have to give him the ball, leave him on a one-to-one with the defender and he’ll go past people, get to the byline so Adam Armstrong or whoever is arriving in the box and can score goals.

“There’s miles more to come from him and I’ve told him that. Sometimes I feel as if I’m in there ranting at him, telling him what he doesn’t do well, but basically I’m telling him he’s a match winner for us.

“He’s a quiet lad by nature – a bit shy, a bit introverted, so he’s got to integrate, feel like he’s one of the group.

“When he settles in, finds his accommodation and really feels a part of our football club, he will develop and we’ll really see what he can do.”
