MP Still Supports Arena Station

City's major shareholder and local MP Geoffrey Robinson is backing a train station station at the Arena despite plans for it not to stop there on matchdays.

"Safety considerations" have been given as the reason why trains won't be used by supporters on a match day and Robinson told the CET: "I was very surprised and disappointed that the station isn't envisaged being open on match days.

"Nevertheless,I support it and look to the Council to provide the commercial reasoning for the station and and the line as a whole."
