Mowbray: We'll Keep The Communications Lines Strong

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he will continue to keep the lines of communication with Everton, Tottenham and Reading open.

Mowbray would like Grant Ward, Matt Pennington and Dominic Samuels back next season and told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: " I speak to Joe Royle on a regular basis about Matty Pennington, the relationship with Tottenham with John McDermot is good and I’ve spoken to Steve Clarke at Reading a few times about Dominic.

“If they feel that the next step in their progression is the Championship then I would have to accept that because the bottom line is they are not our players.

“They belong to them and they are going to try to progress them into their first team and if they think the best level for them is the next level up then so be it. But we’ll keep the communication lines strong and Joe has promised to keep me informed on what’s going to happen with Matty.

“I think Tottenham have enjoyed the fact that Grant has played so much game time for a young player and given the opportunity to play in a position he likes to play. So we’ll see what happens.”
