Mowbray: We Should Have Won

Coventry City Manager Tony Mowbray felt that his side should have won at Gillingham this afternoon.
"We should have won it late on," Mowbray said to the Press Association about the 0-0 draw.
"Marcus said the goalkeeper got a touch on the one he hit the crossbar with.

"Jacob had a bending shot that might have been going in and they give a goal-kick even though the goalkeeper tipped it onto the post.

"It's not for us to come here and be overly expansive because they're the home team who are fourth in the league and we had a game plan that nearly paid off.

"It was almost the perfect away performance by nicking a goal at the death but it wasn't to be.

"If Gillingham are fourth in this league then why aren't we top or third? I'm not judging Gillingham, I'm disappointed with us and the way we've slipped away because we feel as if we should be doing better.

"I just said to them let's go to Wigan next week, who are probably the best team in this league, and see if we can gauge ourselves against Wigan on a big pitch."
