Mowbray -Records Don't Mean Anything

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is not bothered by the fact that the Sky Blues set a new record by keeping four clean sheets away from home.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner:  “It’s always nice to achieve new records but I think we have to put it into perspective.

“If we’d done that in the Premier League or a top-flight division I think we could laud it up properly but total respect to some of the great Coventry City teams in history, we’ve done it in the first division.

“The challenge is that in a few years time I’ll be told we’ve done it in a higher division. But you can only play in the league you’re playing in at the time, of course, so anything that the players can achieve is good for them.

“I have been doing this job for 12 years now so records are great but you’re only as good as your last game."
