Mowbray Praise For City Keeper

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has praised Reice Charles-Cook for his performance against Bradford City.

The City keeper made a number of cracking saves and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph, Mowbray said: “He was immaculate, nothing overfly spectacular but the way he can come and take crosses kills any pressure that might build up.

“If your goalkeeper can come and take the ball when it comes into your box the attack’s finished. That’s why he’s such a good goalkeeper – he’s positive, he’s on the front foot, he helps out his centre-halves.

“That’s a great clean sheet against them because they’re a really resolute side and in the last half hour my players had to dig in, put their bodies on the line, and that was very impressive.”
