Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is not keen on taking a load of trialists at this point in pre-season.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I’m not that big on triallists at this time of year.

“I have had a million players thrown at me to go on trial but I think I want to try to get some players signed and get my team underway first.

“A week or two into it we’ll consider that option but I’d like to build a tight bond with the initial group we’ve got first because it can creare problems if you flood the training ground with lots of trialists

“And yet I’ve had success with triallists in the past – Robert Koren and Graham Dorrans at West Brom who signed and went on to do well and have really good careers.“So we will have a look at the odd one or two over the next four or five weeks to see if we can improve our team.”
